Accessibility statement
What we've done to make this site and our shop usable for everyone, what still falls short, and how to tell us about a problem.
1. Our commitment
Wildwood Steep Co. wants everyone to be able to read this site and use our shop. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, and we test against that standard whenever we make a substantial change.
2. What we have done on this website
- Semantic HTML with a single H1 per page and a logical heading order.
- A visible "skip to main content" link as the first focusable element.
- Text and background colour combinations checked for a contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1.
- Keyboard access to every interactive element, with a clearly visible focus outline.
- Descriptive alternative text on informative images; decorative images hidden from assistive technology.
- Full support for
prefers-reduced-motion— all animation is disabled if your system requests it. - Text that reflows without horizontal scrolling down to 320px, and remains usable at 200% zoom.
- Form fields with permanently visible labels rather than placeholder-only labelling.
3. Known limitations
The embedded map is provided by a third party and its internal controls are outside our control; the full address is always given in text next to it so the map is never the only source of that information. Some older PDF price sheets sent by email are not fully tagged — ask and we will send the same information as plain text.
4. Accessibility at the shop
The entrance at 2632 Wildwood Street, Boardman, OH 44512 is level with the sidewalk with no step, and the doorway measures 34 inches. The counter is 36 inches high with a lowered section at 30 inches. Aisles are narrow — approximately 36 inches — and we will happily bring tins to you rather than have you navigate the shelves. There is no customer restroom. Assistance animals are welcome.
5. Telling us about a problem
If you hit a barrier on this site or in the shop, tell us and we will fix it. Email media@alliceteaspot.com or call 330-717-1432. Please describe the page and what went wrong. We aim to acknowledge within two business days and to resolve or offer a workaround within ten.
6. Alternatives
Anything on this website is available another way. Call 330-717-1432 during shop hours and we will read out prices, descriptions and brewing instructions, take your order by phone, and arrange delivery or pickup.
