Returns & refunds
We sell a food product, which limits what we can take back — but the policy below is deliberately generous and we apply it in good faith.
1. Unopened goods
Any unopened tin, pouch or piece of equipment may be returned within 30 days of delivery or purchase for a full refund of the item price. The item must be in resalable condition with its seal intact. Return shipping is paid by you unless the return is our error.
2. Opened tea
For food safety reasons we cannot resell opened tea. However, if you have opened a tin and genuinely dislike the tea, contact us within 30 days and describe the problem. In practice we will offer a replacement blend of equal value or a store credit. We would rather you drank something you enjoy than never came back.
3. Our errors
If we sent the wrong item, missed an item, or shipped something past its best condition, we will correct it at our own cost — including return postage — as soon as you tell us. No proof of purchase is needed beyond your name and approximate order date.
4. Damaged or lost shipments
Damage in transit is covered under our Shipping & Delivery terms. Photograph the packaging and contents and email them to media@alliceteaspot.com within seven days of delivery.
5. Non-returnable items
- Gift certificates and store credit.
- Custom blends made to a customer's own recipe.
- Opened food items outside the goodwill provision in section 2.
- Clearance items marked "final sale" at the counter.
6. How to start a return
- Call 330-717-1432 or email media@alliceteaspot.com with your name, order date and the items concerned.
- We'll confirm the return in writing and give you the return address.
- Pack the goods securely and send them with a tracked service.
- Once received and checked, refunds are issued to the original payment method within 5 business days. Your bank may take a further 3–10 days to display it.
7. Cancellations
An order can be cancelled at no cost at any time before it ships. Once a tracking number has been issued, treat it as a return under section 1.
8. Your statutory rights
Nothing in this policy limits any rights you have under the consumer protection laws of the State of Ohio or of the United States.
